BatchMetrics™ is a software suite unifying the realms of PLC, HMI, desktop decision-support systems, and light-weight browser-based reporting tools, all in the service of automating batch-based processing. It ties together existing (and often disparate) systems, such as HMI, PLC, ERP, Inventory, Recipe and Document Management.
It is comprised of several modules:
- Foundation – A required module serving as a back end for data storage, resource and user management.
- Scheduler – A business intelligence tool that assists in scheduling and optimization of process orders in addition to providing a window into a real-time factory floor status.
- Bridge – Enables seamless integration between BatchMetrics on one hand and ERP (ex. SAP), Inventory, LIMS, Robots, Creative and Project Mgmt Systems, HMIs, PLCs, Kardex on the other.
- Production WorkBench – PWB is used on the factory floor to facilitate dosing, manage work queues and inventory retrievals.
- Inventory Module – Covers all aspects of inventory management including cycle counting, location and encompassing many of the features of the modules above, combined with reporting and ability to view current events.
- Automation Components. Graphical software controls, pluggable into HMI screens, serving as an interface between HMI and BatchMetrics Foundation.
- PDA Framework – Offers users the functionality of the Production Support and Inventory Management on a hand-held scanning device.
